Share an embedded contact card

The Contact tool writes a vCard from the name, phone number, and any optional details you fill in: email, organization, job title, website, and postal address. The contact information travels in the image and does not need a hosted contact page to be read.

Create and check it

  1. Enter the full name and, if wanted, an international phone number.
  2. Fill in only the optional details you want to share. Blank fields are left out of the vCard.
  3. Inspect the vCard payload, download the image, and import a sample on the intended receiving device before printing real cards.

The vCard has no photo, and each extra field makes the pattern denser, which can make a small print harder to scan. Contacts apps differ in which fields they import. Everything in the code is readable by anyone who scans it.

Troubleshooting this QR type

The scanner displays text
The scanning app may not offer a vCard importer. Check with the receiving contacts app.
Details changed after printing
Create a replacement image. A local project update cannot rewrite the old card.
