Share a basic calendar event

This tool encodes an event title and a local start date/time. It does not provide registration, invitations, attendee tracking, or a hosted event page.

Create and check it

  1. Enter a concise event title.
  2. Enter the local start time using YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM. Check the date and hour carefully.
  3. Scan a sample on the intended calendar app and inspect the imported date and time before publishing.

The payload contains no time zone or end time. For an audience spanning time zones or an event requiring updates, a maintained event web page may be more appropriate. This QR cannot update an event already imported.

Troubleshooting this QR type

The time is unexpected on another device
This is a local time without a zone. Check the receiving app and use an event page for explicit time-zone handling.
The scanner only displays event text
The scanner may not support calendar import. Test a compatible calendar workflow.
